Tommy has an accomplished career and went from entry to executive management assignments with multi-billion-dollar corporations to independent free-lance consulting with firms of varying sizes to entrepreneurial endeavors with IT, construction, real estate, and financial services. Tommy went to University of South Carolina and launched into his career as a computer programmer trainee. His long and broad vocational journey includes decades of extensive business management, and governance experience in manufacturing, food/hospitality, multi-unit retail, real estate, distribution, information technology, human services, financial services, and other industries. In addition to commercial activities, Tommy has earned deep experience and expertise in governing board service for human services organizations.
Combining many years of corporate and entrepreneurial experience, Tommy's long track record of project and general management success as well as successful professional development of people has enabled him to participate in wide range of activities including mergers and acquisitions, turn-around leadership, capital-funding activities, industry exhibitions and conferences as well as speaking on a variety of topics in a variety of venues.
Tommy's focus is on building business relationships and enterprises which provide sustainable positive impact and outcomes, employment, and growth opportunities for conscientious hard-working people resulting in personal and professional fulfillment along with economic benefit for all while teaching and encouraging others to do the same.
Tommy will be a motivated and valuable mentor in his contribution to the American Technology Ventures Lab.
